Finally got new shoes on the FJ... since I did not want to lift until I deploy and return from Iraq I went with the Nitto trail grapplers.... only 3' but it deff helped the look and can now conquer the trail that has been a pain in the ass.... sliders are next... All in all... satisfied with the tires... no rubbing and it finally looks beefy

Without pics, it didn't happen...
I have a three inch lift and the same tires in 285/75/17. It does make a huge difference and to me is the best FJ combo. The tires don't look the most aggressive but really are a great off road tire. The only thing they don't do well is mud. Living in the desert mud is not an issue. When My BFG's wear out on my 80 series I will be putting Nitto's on it as well. Having spent almost three years in the lovely country of Iraq I say new shoes are a great reward for having to set foot in that s*** hole.

great tire ... lots of options re sliders ... should be able to get a good deal ... I'm sorry I didn't go with a kick out when I bought mine ... something to think about when you get yours ...

Yeah.... going back for my 3rd tour... so wife and I agreed that when I get back I can splurge and drop about 8 K in mods... but I am just trying to get it to where I can roll around with my friends right now... Ih8mud but I am in the low country... and almost all trails are mud... . But I took it through hell yesterday without an issue so needless to say I am satisfied......
