I'm happy to say that the broken easy-out was finally drilled out today! I tapped the hole, sealed-up the gasket and put the whole thing back together and filled with oil. Everything went back together very easily and is not leaking!

Only one problem - It won't start. It's getting fuel, so I think spark is the issue. I may not have the distributor back in properly. I do get a decent oil pressure reading while trying to start and it seems like it's trying, but maybe firing order is out of whack. Any guidance on this?

I am sooooo ready to join you guys down at the river!! The GunRunner has been out of service since between Christmas and New Years, and I'm soooooo close. Once I get it running, I can upgrade to the 4 in lift and 35's, install my brushguard, install the on-board-air system, etc, etc.

Anyone want a good complete 2.5 in lift and a set of 5 33X10.5x15 BFG MTs with 2k miles on them?

Have you noticed whats been happening to trucks after going to the river.....:whoops: in this club.

Sorry, but no Ramble for me this year. Work is kicking my a$$.

Come help me fix my junk please!!! I should have something off the 62 that you need???

I may have found Barry a head near Atlanta. It's off an 81 FJ40. That should be the same, right?

Anyone else crack a head I have not heard about?

Hey, just whats that supposed to mean?

btw. I order a head from cruiserparts today. Lash I don't think the 40 head works on a 60. Something about casting. I picked up Jes's and its not right.

Nothing personal implied.

Let me check with Mickey first. Seems he told me he wanted the lift or tires or both a few months ago. I'll let you know ASAP. Thanks

Yes!!!! Finally!!!!!!!!!

After searching and reading a few threads on MUD, and rereading the Haynes Manual a couple more times, I figured it out!

The distributor shaft/rotor was 180* off. So, I loosened the necessary bolts, popped the cap off, pulled the dist out, spun the rotor 180* and put it all back together.

The GunRunner fired right up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We drove it to the pool and around the neighborhood today.

Happy to be Cruisin' again!! But still pissed I missed Spring.
