Inspirational. My truck should go to paint next week sometime. I need to order all the clips and crap still. Not looking forward to it.

He was pretty consumed with getting it factory looking, and it came out great! A brief write up and a bunch of pictures can be checked here if you are interested My Hawaiian HJ60 Refresh, Maintenance and Good Times

Got the front and rear glass in this week. Used a professional installer. Didn't want to screw this one up. No chrome lock strip. OEM rubber around the glass. Went with a brand new front glass and reused the rear.

Console is awesomeMore progress. Got the carpet in and seatbox mounted. Also mounted the Cruiser Crap console. Mounted lots of track for tie downs. Probably overkill but I like options. Still have a bit of wiring to add but it's only big ideas I may never get to. Would like to have lighting inside the console and seatbox but a flashlight will work wonders. Probably should just keep things simple.
The console is EXCEPTIONAL quality. Highly recommend it.
The seat bottoms are from SOR. They feel great! Can't wait to take a trip with these seats.
Next step is door panels and bumpers mounted and it'll be ready to roll. Trail Tailor Rock sliders and mini sliders go on and roof rack. Hopefully next week. (Need to get the vacuum out too!)

I think the sealant is needed between the glass and rubber seal and the rubber seal and metal windshield frame. I believe that is the instruction in the FSM.Just finding this thread now, great looking truck!!
Wanted to add a reference of my experience getting a new windshield and OEM seal. The installer I used (general glass shop) only put a small bead of black sealer where the glass and rubber meet. But, water would leak/weep through to the inside corners of my seals which then would then drip to the floor. They even redid the install, but no luck, the leak remained.
My solution was to remove the thin bead of sealant applied by the installer and apply a clear sealant between the glass and the seal, lifting up the seal lip as I went along injecting sealant. Not saying your installer didn't do it right or better than my general shop (they probably never saw a FJ60 before), but that step was required to get mine to stop leaking. If I recall, that step is noted in a factory installation note/manual? Could be wrong,
Keep up the great work!
Bump. ^^
So I guess everybody has perfect windows] crank handles after all the rubber is replaced and regulators replaced? Nothing?
Wow, truck looks pretty awesome! I'm impressed!
