For Sale Fiberglass FJ40 Tub

I started an FJ about 15 years ago and at the time, there were not many options for tubs, especially if you were not a body man, so I bought a fiberglass tub. Needless to say, I have since purchased a good steel body and looking to get rid of the Malotte fiberglass one. They are great for vehicles that reside on salty beaches, but not very good if you are doing any kind of a resto. It has never been on the road and still needs some of the holes drilled. I'm in the Philadelphia, PA area so if you are interested, let me know. I paid $2400 bucks for it but will consider any offer. It's in my way. Thanks

I received a few PM questions so here are a few more details...

Around 2002 I believe (year bought). It's the LS 2 heavy duty (with plywood). I'm not sure what it weighs but my wife and I can lift it off the frame so I'm thinking under 200 lbs. I do have the tunnel (they are getting hard to find) and does not have the holes cut yet. The only hardware installed is the side door hinges (included). it has been drilled for hood and windshield hinges, steering, heater box, fan, roll cage (which would need to be filled because it was a custom cage), antenna. gas pedal, clutch and brake pedals, master cylinder, clutch slave and a custom dash panel (not included, see pic). It also has the rear marker lights cut out.

I pass by twice a year on my way to Michigan. Probably wont be out there again until Dec. or June. There is one on ebay for $850.00 (no holes,never used). You may be able to get him to come down on price and shipping shouldn't be bad if he is willing to crate it. If you are still in need in December, you can check back to see if I still have it. I offered to buy yours because you said it was in your way I have all of the parts stored to build another 40, except a tub, but am in no hurry to start that project, I have a million other projects to finish first! I just wanted to help out another mud member, that's why I said you could probably get more for it, if you aren't in a rush for it to be gone. GLWS!

Once a Steelers fan, always a Steelers fan. I lived there during the days of the original Steel Curtain, Franco Swan, etc. The Pirates were doing good and the Penguins were still wearing blue and white.
