I am installing a Old Man 2in lift and a Snorkel for my cruiser this weekend so just some quick questions
-How big of a hole do i need to make for the snorkel entry? (so i can get a bit)
-I will get a 2 in extended brake line for the rear of the cruiser and put the old rear break line into the front. Is this right? or will i need another for the front.
-Do i need extended swaybar rods? (ill try the truck without the swaybar to see if i need it at all first:cool:)
Hmm ive forgot the other ones
Anything else i should know?
Thanks

I never extended anything on my 73 series and the lift was closer to 2 1/2 inches

Snorkel kit should have template

I have a 3-4" lift on my FZJ71, didn't need to extend anything. Maybe the diff breather hoses could get pulled during some extreme flexing, but I doubt it since flex is very limited in our trucks to begin with, I extended them anyway, not because of the lift but to to protect my diff from water contamination during deep water crossings/mudding.

Well what about the U-Bolts????
I just took a rear off and found out i need longer U-Bolts:bang:
And with no shops open today........
Also are the old man emu springs different for the left and the right?
mine are old and i cant see any marks.
I can see the + which i gess is for the front of the spring.
And the snorkel never came with a template anyone know where i can find one?

Oh and also does it matter how fast the shock returns from being compressed?
I took out a old rear shock and its a munro i dont know if its standard or extended because i thought it was standard but its bigger than my 2in lifted old man emu one!!!
the munro returns from compressed very slowly and the smaller 2in lifted Old Man shock is very fast.
whitch one should i put in?
Ok now in off to find some bigger U-Bolts>>>

I would always use new U bolts if your changing springs, they are too cheap not to.

I forget how OME mark L and R ,but Im sure they do. It could be A or B or slightly different part number. Try cleaning them with some oil and wire brush.
Another way is to turn them upside down on a flat floor. The highest one goes on the drivers side. My Dobinson drivers side spring was about 12 mm higher when compared

Ive never bought extra length shocks . Im guessing most aftermarket shocks will have an inch or 2 to spare over the factory shocks.
Sounds like the Monroe is the one to use
