Question: On the reverse light tranny connections, are these 2 pins designed to have the wires soldered on or, is there some sort of electrical connector that should be used here? The wires were taped on and looked like a feble attempt to connect them but am sure theres a better way...
They were soldered at one point and must have broke free. If you know how to solder, you could solder them back on.

Its all about the proper tools. In this case a cheap iron didnt make things pretty but, it worked sort of.

You really going to run that fan? It might kill you...
I read a few things about the metal fan but of the thousands in use seems only a small fraction have issues. What is the suggestion, a plastic one? I think if I stick my hand in there when its moving , yeah it could be an issue but its doubtful that a hard plastic one would do zero damage. Maybe the issue is if there's a failure at freeway speed might not be fun. That said w over 50 years and no issues ... Damn all that nice paint too 🤔

Yes. As long as all of one is flushed out of the system switching to the other will not hurt. If unsure run distilled for a few cycles and then drain that before refilling. …. Pending safe temps to do so….. pretty sure mill valley is marked safe from a freeze.

Yeah that's exactly what I was planning to do if I went to red but , i have free green coolant and that's what's in there. Still gonna flush it anyway. Yes, were safe from any freezing. Thanks-

In addition to lowering the freezing point coolant raises the boiling point.
I tend to run 100% and I don't dilute mine.
That way if its 116* and I have to top up at a stream for whatever reason, im still concentrated enough to not boil out the coolant.
I also tend to run old fashioned green because you can still get it everywhere, although they will always try and sell you the 50% stuff, so he careful.
