That side plate is just a flat plate pretty much right? Doesn't have the sharp corners like the pan gasket, more like a cork valve cover. I'd probably just use copper coat, probably the brush-on instead of the spray.
Makes sense. I happen to have the spray version but planning on applying several coats.. and of course hammering out the dimples near the holes from overtightening. I found blue RTV on there but the gasket was toast. Likely had not been changed for years.....or decades even.

Past few days been getting a few small projects done so i could make the trip up to the PMC event in Petaluma today. Replaced the pushrod cover gasket used Permatex Ultra black seemed to work well, no leaks! I also replaced the fan belt and sadly discovered that I had to remove the radiator to get the new right size belt on there ugh. Replaced the alternator pully as I had a narrow one that wouldn't accommodate the correct size. It was a successful drive and a fun event. Some weird sputtering and backfiring on the way home though. After some tinkering I determined its likely dirt in the carb. seems they are pretty finiky when any dirt and or debris gets in there. I run 2 filters too. Overall fun day and good to see some of the folks I chat w /here on Mud.

Is that counter corian?
No, Its quartz.

Mostly happy w it except for the window sil piece I had them add while onsite. I didnt police that very closely and seems the sil is a bit too too narrow. am sure it will look fine once I finish the trim work. Even with me doing a lot of the work, -an ectrician put in a sub panel/rewire all the outlets in the kitchen and cartpenter (1.5 days) assist with a w/d move and moving the cabs in place and pin them level. Project was significanly more $ than we anticipated. would have been 2-3x that if I just wrote checks for everything. Details will be completed over the next month or so. This exceeds the "$5k budget" for the pig easily but clearly not yhr enjoyment ;)

Looks great!
I am doing some pocket doors right now. Stoked by them but I am taking my sweet time. I’m either cruxing w the doors or the cruzer. I need some periods w these projects!
Thanks. Yeah, pocket doors /AKA space savers for the right application (still can be semi frustrating)but, if there space barn doors work as well but it all depends on the application. Having my wife hovering over me for the last bits on the sink and DW connections isnt fun either. Intrusive projects like the kitchen /bath are the worst. The end of this project couldnt come soon enough....
