I am looking to pick up another vehicle, but before I do I need a good idea of what I can sell my 80 for.

It's a 94, factory locked, 209k miles. Runs really well. Body is very straight except for a small section of the DS rocker, and the DS fender / flare. I have another straight fender / flare (same color) that will be included. The front and rear bumpers have rock scratches as well. It has a some pinstriping. Interior is in very good condition, with one of the seams in the DS seat just now starting to come apart.

No rust.

No CEL.

I have owned it for a little over a year.

Maintenance:

Wheel bearings replaced
PHH
New radiator
Cooling system completely flushed
Hoses, belts, idler
Filters
New brake pads
New antenna mast from cruiserparts
Aux fuse block under center console
New DS mirror from CDAN
Routine stuff done religiously (engine, tranny and diff oil changes, chassis lubed, etc)

Mods:

OME 850/860 springs (currently has 863, but I will be swapping with brand new 860s)
OME N73/N74 shocks
Slee extended brake lines
Dynamat Sound/Heat shield on floorboard from the firewall to just behing the second row seats.
Center Diff Lock Button
Extended diff breathers, front and rear

Issues:

probably needs O2 sensors
PS seats does not go forward (stuck all the way back). It tries to go forward but only one side moves and it gets cocked and stops.

Rear bumper NOT included. I will be putting the factory bumper ends back on.

I will most likely be keeping the tires, and putting whatever tires come on the new one on this.

CB, ham not included, and I will be putting the original alternator and battery back in.

I am thinking around $6500. What do you all think?

I'll post some pics hopefully tonight.

Given the market for SUV's in general and even a LC with over 200k on the clock, I'd think you'll be lucky as hell to see $5K, even with the maintenance and baselining you've done. Nobody outside the offroad community is going to want to touch a gas guzzler like this.

I've resigned myself to the fact that all the mods on my truck are now worth more than the truck itself! Of course I'm not in the market to sell. She just sits in the street all lonely as I drive off to work everyday in a car that gets almost 3x the gas mileage.

Yep, i agree with Brent. Take it from someone that just sold his.... it's tough right now... the economy sucks. Nobody has money to spend (including myself) so it makes it hard for people to afford the rig even if it's "worth it". I had to unload my 80 for less than i wanted, just to make sure to sell it. Everyone wanted it, but nobody had the money. It's a crappy time to sell... it's really a buyers market right now.

Yep, I know. Unfortuantely the owner of the one I want doesn't know that.

Perhaps I should trade it for a commuter car and some cash...

You'll get even less on a trade. I've heard that Carmax isn't even accepting SUV's in trade any longer because they can't sell them and everyday they sit on the lots they depreciate even more.

Good Luck!

You won't get enough. Keep it. It's worth more to you then it is for cash.

I agree. Didn't you say if I ever sold it to let you know?
