February Meeting - Saturday, Feb 13th

Due to popular request, we will be having February's meeting on a Saturday! We will have the meeting up Hyalite Canyon and and we can even barbecue! Hopefully this will get some members from further away areas to be able to attend. If the date doesn't work, post up!

Any details on the February meeting yet? I'm trying to talk a friend of mine who has a 100 series in Bozeman to join us, but he's concerned that Hyalite canyon doesn't have any trails for a stock vehicle this time of year.

Jon (the guy with the 100 series) is familiar with the area. His concern is the amount of snow they currently have. Neither him nor I are interested in getting pulled around in the snow all day. However, we would both like to meet the club and discuss Moab.

I'm going to head up there this weekend to scope it out. I'll keep you all posted in conditions. We want to be able to get everyone there for the meeting and barbecue...without getting stuck!

To my knowledge there aren't any trails open up hyalite in the winter. The only access I know of in the summer are langhor and moser roads. Both are gated in winter. Should be no issues getting to the reservoir.

I think just getting to the reservoir would be good. Easy but cool place to get to for a Saturday meeting and cook out. Perhaps a little fire too. If there are any other suggestions for a place, let me know. We'll hopefully have some people coming from other parts of the state as well. Let's plan to meet at noon, wherever it is. Stay tuned for more details.....

Hey gang. So the meeting will be at noon on Saturday the 13th at Hyalite Reservoir. Should be no problem for all vehicles to make it, barring a blizzard that day! Bring your favorite bbq goodies and let's have some fun!

If there's anyway to get a head count I'd be willing to bring burgers for the BBQ.

I will attend and will bring chips for everyone. We should meet at the covered Pavillion area at the dam area. I will bring some firewood for a fire.
