Listing all my 4x4s owned:

1946 Willys CJ-2A (my first vehicle purchased 1960)
1966 Jeep CJ-5*
1964 Jeep DJ-3A (converted 4x4)
1973 Jeep CJ-5
1973 Jeep CJ-5 (yep, two of them)
1976 Jeep CJ-7
1977 Chevy K-10
1979 Toyota mini (a favorite)
1982 Subaru wagon
1995 Nissan Pathfinder
2003 Toyota Tundra
2005 Ford E-350 Sportsmobile
2008 Toyota FJC (another favorite)

* the 1966 CJ-5 became my race truck (Baja, Mint, etc) and morphed into a CJ-5.5 then the first CJ-7 and last I heard was still going. When I sold that Jeep in 1974 the only original parts left were the windshield, grille, transfer case and pedals.

I wish I had my '84 Toyota 4x4 pu back. New body style, 1st year of the extra cab, last year with carburator, 2nd to last year with SFA. Bought it new wish I never sold it! :bang:

My 4WD list is not as extensive as Ace's, but includes:
1951 Jeep wagon (my first ride)
1967 Bronco
1970 Bronco
1973 FJ 40 soft top (bought brand new at Stevinson's in Lakewood)
1949 Jeep
1974 GMC 4WD
1976 Dodge Ramcharger
1983 Chevy Suburban 4WD (all time family favorite)
1994 Jeep Cherokee Sport
1993 K5 Blazer (maybe my personal favorite)
2004 F150 SuperCrew (best pickup ever)
and five Pigs since 2008, including 1973,1973 (body donor for my current ride), 1974 (chassis and running gear donor), 1969, and 1976 (about to be traded for a surprise choice)
1956 CJ5 (family heirloom at the place in Crested Butte)

What I'd want back are my Willy's Jeepster, my turbocharged Corvair Spyder, and my '54 and '55 Corvettes.

Jim, by count your list is longer and more varied. I was mostly stuck in a Jeep rut. During the Korean war I would grab the newspaper and search for Jeeps in the news. Later I had a metal Jeep like those Matchbox toys that came much later and lost it on a family trip to Cape Cod. I recall crying like a baby and asking my parents to go back and search for it. You might say I was obsessed with Jeeps.

In high school I found a scrapper and paid $300 for this relic with no engine, top or seats but eventually got it running and off to great adventures. I remember the first hill-climb with some real embarrassment. I had my cousin sit on the hood to hold the front end down on a slope no more than 20 degrees. What did I know at 17?

I smoked back then and remember rolling along and bumping the ash off my smoke and seeing it roll under the leaky gas tank right under my seat. No hesitating, I jumped out and watched the Jeep putt down the road and stall in a ditch. Waited a while for the flash/bang but nothing happened so climbed back in and drove on.

Let's keep this thread active with this kind of reminiscing. Good times!

My list is as follows:
1966 Ford Bronco (6 cylinder) - First car ride home from hospital
1976 Ford F250 Hi-Boy with 6 cylinder (first truck I owned in HS)
198-something Ford Ranger X-cab (bought it wrecked for $647.37 at auction)
1977 Ford Bronco - First Bronco I owned myself
1966 Ford Bronco - Second Bronco
1971 Ford Bronco - Third Bronco
1976 Ford Bronco - Fourth Bronco
All the above 4 Bronco's owned concurrently at one time (yeah, I know...my wife keeps reminding me)
1984 Toyota Land Cruiser - bought for our first dog because it had A/C
2003 Ford F350 Quad -Cab
Currently owned:
1974 Ford Bronco
1978 Toyota FJ40
1979 Toyota FJ40 parts truck
1986 Suzuki Samurai - awaiting full restoration ;)
1987 Toyota Custom Cab
1995 Toyota T100 Extra-Cab
2000 Toyota Land Cruiser
2003 Sportsmobile E350 van with 4x4

Currently looking for a 12 step program for vehicle addiction....

All the trucks were fun and all had special memories for one reason or another
If I could have any back...none, but I wish I wish I didn't have that period of stupidity when I sold the '77 and '76 Bronco's and all my parts collection (I could use a few items for my '74...)

Obviously you love your Broncos. My first new vehicle was almost a 66 Bronco. Actually had placed an order but changed my mind and got the CJ-5. Owned way more trucks than list above, the rest being 2wd, but only one Ford, an F-100 that burned more oil than gas. I guess that soured me on Ford.

Or just acknowledge the reality that if some is good, more is better and too much is just about right.

This was a fun thread so bumping it back to the top to see what more have to say.
