Just an FYI to the Ohio guys.

A small group of mixed yotas are gathering at Stone Quarry for a Saturday run. 9:00am

Most are camping Friday night at the primitive sites at the trailhead. All yotas welcome.

Details, PM or post here. The other yotas going are some of the guys in Ohio Trailriders.

Hi Beno,

Stone Quarry is in Vinton County Ohio, near McArthur.

They have'nt gated that joint yet?

LOL! Not yet. Hopefully never. We ran there about a month ago and it was as always. Seems to be quite a few locals running there at night and they even had a course set up for a hair scramble on ATVs.

It's getting a bit of use these days. Want to join us?

Update:

Final count is 7 built yotas for this run. Since the weather is going to be STELLAR Saturday we are going to put more miles in and run beard--to the connnector--to stone quarry.

Pics and video coming after the run, I'll post a link for those that couldn't make it and want to see what ya'll missed :grinpimp:

They can't gate it. It is a township Rd. In order to gate it, they'll have to vacate the road. They don't wanna do that because the township rceives road maintenance dollars from the feds & state in proportion to the amount of road mileage they have to maintain. Obviously they aren't spending any money to maintain Stone Quarry Rd., but as long as the road is open, they can receive money for maintenance.

Very true Jim. There are a few Twp. roads running around back there worth keeping open too.

I'm working on a media gallery from this weekend, but here's a quick video of the 6foot ledge at the end of the trail.

Just a stellar run...awesome. 6 yotas out for the day and we had a 84 turbo diesal mini in the group till he blew oil.
