Hey @7powernerd take a look at the lights that are in the spot where the park light are. That might solve the question of where to put them??

More progress on the flairs. First filled in with cats hair mud, then thin coat of Bondo.

Love the updates to the front end and the newly altered flairs, gentlemen!!

So the Permatex is the way to go on the axle house vs the gasket?

Keep making slow progress on the flare. Working on adapting the old mount holes to be able to be used with bolts. These worked OK, going to have to adapt something for the front bottom area.

I used the toyota gasket when we fixed his rig, still using some FIPG to ensure a good seal. However, I think the point is if you don't have the gasket from toyota, this is the stuff to use.

I am getting ready to do the Volvo axles on FOO, and this is the route I will go.

Let me back up.... on both Josh's rig and the Volvo, I welded 1/2 steel plate to the bottom for armor, so I assume that the heat tweaked the flange, so the stock gasket alone needs some sealant to account any varience.

Not much to update, still driven daily to and from high school. I drive it when he lets me and fill up the gas tank.

Really fun to drive.

Power steering pump is starting to howl when cold, so that is on the list to work on.

Its common for these to leak. Used the Gasket & sealant still leaked on my stock axle, each time it was leaking the nuts were lose. Titan the nuts to speck, recheck after a few hundred miles. I now check these when I'm checking the Knuckle bolts before each wheeling trip.
PS nice BUILD/THREAD

@2fpower
Thanks. How do you like those lights? I'm guessing you switched the turn signals to the side markers? Did you run run the leds with new wires?

I've been thinking about something like this but you beat me to it.
