This is one of my favorites:
Can I still sit on the tailgate?
Yes!
What good is a tailgate you can't sit on!
I designed the lids to make the tailgates stronger than they are in stock format. The 60 and 80 series trucks are both prone to having caved in tailgates and my original lid was made to help fix that problem on my truck.
The tailgate lids are strong enough to pull the bent tailgates back into shape.
Anything you can currently do with your tailgate you can still do, plus some.
You can fit as many friends on there as you want and all jump up and down.
I don't carry a sand ladder in the truck since I figure that if I really need one I can just unbolt the my tailgate lid and use that.
I've been meaning to get some pictures of the lid in compromising situations and I'll try to get on that and post them here.
In the meantime, please stop asking if the tailgates are strong enough to use after my lid is installed, it's a tiny bit insulting.
I wouldn't make them if they weren't.
