Anyone planning any PM on their fan clutch anytime soon? I have a new one in hand in preparation for a 2300 mile trip across the country in Ms. Jackson in the next 90 days or so. Anyone want to do this together. I can travel and bring tools and suppliers for step #6. Misery loves company so I though I would toss it out there.

Btw...from Dan, fan clutch is about $125

It is an easy swap Smit you should have no problem with it. There are many ways to stabilize the crank to break the bolts loose, I have even been able break all four of the fan clutch nuts loose by breaking them free before I take the tension off of the belts for remvoval. You can also use a prybar or long screwdriver through the mounting studs/nuts of the fan clutch assembly.

A strap wrench placed on the fan pulley behind the belt works great for this job.
