I'm new on the FJC side of the house as I have an 80 series. I just purchased a new FJC with the factory rear sub woofer. I want to take it out to make room for a rack. I want to sell the factory sub but have no idea what it is worth. Any ideas?

Thanks
Shawn

Post up on FJCForum.com, but be sure to request the buyer ship you the panel the sub removal will expose.

Think they typical sell ~$200 with the panel swap required.

I checked ebay and the prices are all over the place. I have not joined up on the FJC Forum. I feel like I'm cheating on my wife by going to another forum.;)

It's OK to look as long as you don't test drive, because that'll lead to a lease with an option to buy.

You won't be gone long, but you'll need the panel, and that's the best place to barter your wares.

I will just get drunk and then go to the other forum. I will make sure I'm wearing a condom.

Haha. Just use plasti-dip. It's more widely accepted as common protection there.

It's the land of sunshine and unicorns (TM FJNewb) and the only place I've ever seen a dudes arse posted on a "Big Booty" thread.

One thing to note, though I'm unsure of the relevancy. The +2010s utilize LAN, so the HUs aren't compatible with previous years.

Not sure if the actual physical sub box is, but pretty sure the sub switch (another item you'll need to include that I forgot to mention. You'll need the switch blank in exchange) is, so may limit the market.

My recommendation is to keep the sub, smoke some endo and sip on gin and juice while pumping out some block rocking beats.
Bahahaha.

Here's where you want to go:

I sold the sub out of my FJ a couple years ago for $250 including the switch and we traded the panels. I found that the sub doesn't add all that much to the sound system, the space (and weight) was better used for camping gear.
