Factory locker/ATRAC vs. Air Locker

Wife wants an FJ and I am seeking opinions about locker setup. I am considering a new 07 MT (Convenience/alloys) steeply discounted or an 08 with the upgrade package. I can get the 07 and put on OME lift, ARB bumper, rims/tires, and F/R air lockers for the price of the 08. As far as the lockers go, I understand the warranty issue, but what do you guys think. Any other issues to consider. With the ARBs, I could use them in High Range (snow).

I have air lockers in my 95 4runner and love it.
Has anyone seen ARBs in an FJ yet?

All Pro sells ARB F/R, but the front is pretty expensive.
They got lower gears too, same story on the price.
If you can get the 07 and mod it that heavily for the price of the 08, I say go for it, you'll be way ahead of the crowd.

You could try to go straight to the source, I know alot of guys that pick up "scratch and dent" items from their HQ in Washington.

Bought the 07 today. I didn't know, but the MT comes with a rear locker but not ATRAC. Good enough.

Call toyota, order the atrac switch for like 20 dollars, install it in the factory location where you will find the harness for atrac. It's a fluke, your truck has atrac, it's just missing the switch.

As soon as the budget allows I'm going ARB lockers front & rear. I like the fact that you can engage them any time up to 50mph...

Just make sure you do the hack to allow both atrac and the locker to work together. It makes a big diference.
