EZ ride lift and All-pro skid

I ordered an All-pro skid plate and had my rig lifted with a EZ ride lift. When I got the Skid plate it wouldn't fit due to spacers installed for the lift. It looks like the arms for supporting the transfer case were lowered with spacers and interfers with the plate install. I believe the spacers protect the integrity of the CV Joint geometry. What do other lifts do for this and are the spacers really necessary?

Any help would be appreciated. Otherwise I have a very nice skid plate that is useless to me.
 
I am not familiar with an EZ ride lift. Is it a spacer lift? How much height?
 
Put the plate on top of the spacer. If that won't work I still havn't bought a front skid yet. ;)
 
EZ ride

EZ-ride is Tuff countries spacer lift. It's 3" in front and 2" in back. It helped with my ARB bumper weight and leveled the vehicle. It also allowed me to put 33" Toyo MTs with 18" wheeles. Apparently the spacers, that are preventing my skid plate, are actually lowering the differential so the CV joints have a better angle. I am wondering if they are necessary. What do other lifts do for this? Anyone...

Since the skid plate completely covers and protects these arms, removing them, installing the skid plate, and putting them back on would be physically impossible.
 
with a 2-3" lift there should not be a need to lower the front diff.

Thanks. I was reading over at fjforums and got that impression. I sure regret going with spacers and will do coil overs in the near future. It looks like the CV angle change is insignificant because it starts out high and lifting puts it at about the same angle to the low side. I just hope it's not compromised when fully dropped. However, no one has reported any trouible yet. It took me a while to figure it out but, live and learn...
