Has LSLC ever put one together to go to Big Bend? Looking at the map of Big Bend there seems to be alot of trails to ride out there.

It was discussed once, the guys that would be up for that is the wagon guys that just made the Colorado trip.

you know there an't much fun 'wheeling around the park unless you get there just after a big rain and then it's just mud and washouts. I have to say the washouts are a blast but for the most part, the park is not real place to wheel.

Now I've heard of some place to go that is between the park and the ranch.....is this the location that was discussed or is it still a myth?

Oh anyone also know of the place on the pecos river around lake amistad?

I took the 60 down there last year with a '75 FJ40 and an '85 CJ7 and we had a blast. Not really any hard core wheelin', but it is a beautiful place and there are some awesome trails and places to explore on the backcountry roads.

There were a few spots, though, where I used low range 4WD.

A small group of us (college friends from Ole Miss) are heading back down there early spring 2006. Anyone is certainly welcome to go.

BigSur, you and I should talk about this some at the next meeting, yo.

I'm Down Like James Brown!!!

Say cbmontgo, I'm totally in for a camping trip to Big Bend! I haven't been there in over 20 years, and when I did go I went every summer with my folks. Spring sounds perfect too, especially if we can go before it gets hot.

Yeah, I'm here in Dallas and I went to the meeting this last Thursday at Pappa's, though I came rather late - name is Sean. I plan on going to ICBM this upcoming weekend, but I'm not staying the night I don't think.
