I went by Jim's 66 today for some exhaust work (super slow day at the office). I have a header on my rig that has seen better days and currently has an exhaust leak. I need a replacement manifold (I would prefer stock). Sure it won't sound awesome, but I don't want to be replacing headers and dealing with warping and messing with header gaskets.

Anyone have one?

yes. I have a couple of different years. not sure what condition they are in, but I can check them for you.

irbrito let me tear into his truck for some parts in trade for my rollcage. Grabbed a good looking manifold in the process. Thanks though!

How do you plan to deal with the fact that the exhaust and intake manifolds are held on with the same nuts/studs? You'll need them to have the same thickness so the nuts are pressing both manifolds to the side of the head with about the same pressure.

Assuming the intake surface hasn't been shaved, the OEM manifold should match thickness.

I can attest to the fact that the intake/exhaust manifold I got off of the 68 is stock (the spiders living below were pissed to see it go). I have not had a chance to pull my header/intake off of my truck. I was going to order a new gasket. Do headers for the f typically require changing mounting studs. or is there some other reason why the mouting surfaces of my engine (of unknown year) wouldn't work with the intake/exhaust manifold that I pilfered from the 68? I have not dropped a straight edge on the manifold I pulled, but eyeballin' it the intake and exhaust looked to be of even height.

Thanks in advance.
