Hey all.

I wanted to brag on the Remflex manifold gasket for a bit...if I may. I had previously tried to seal my headers with the Fel-pro gasket and copper RTV...to no avail. I just couldn't stand the noise and smell from this leak, so I searched out Remflex. These gaskets are MUCH thicker than the Fel-pro and appear to be really well made...like the Fel-pro.

Long story short, I used Copper RTV around the exhaust ports...bolted it up....no more leaks. No more backfire....no more dieseling....just smooth exceleration.

So, if you use headers and have a leak due to warping or because the surfaces are not perfect, this gasket may be a good option.

Here is the website: Part # RF7009 for the F and 2F engines.

Awesome. How long did it take you?

Now get to work on those rockers! BTW, what's "exceleration"? :D

(sorry, I can't help myself)

You did an Accellent job of finding that error!!

I'm such a moron. In my defense, it was early...and I was looking at numbers all morning.

Acceleration. Sorry.

That gasket job too about 45 minutes, total. Easy as pie. Making the half washers took the most time....I used my dremel.

I'll send a picture of the rockers soon. Ryan made me a set of diamond-plate covers for them. So, I just wire-wheeled out the old, rust metal....primed, painted...then covered them up. DONE!
