Hopefully everyone made it back safely. Thanks again to Mike for hauling me.

If anyone has pictures of my "Rollover" please forward them to me - I'm getting lots of requests.

Thanks.

Tim

I left Murphy at 1p central....drove straight thru until 2:30a, just across the WI border...started falling asleep as I waited for construction traffic in Chicago, so a nap was in order :D Slept for 3 hours, on the road at 5:30a, home at 7:30a....

piece of cake - lol

Tim,
First of all, as you're a newbe here's the Mud solute :flipoff2:.
I made it home with no problem. I think all of us had a great time, I know I really did.

In your search for an 80, please go to http://www.sleeoffroad.com and check out the site. In there your'll find the newbe section on what to look for when buying an 80. Of course, Clint and I will help you out.

Woody,
You're a mad man. Glad you made it home with no problem. I think I could compare fallin asleep while driving thru Chitown to falling asleep while driving thru Altanta, you don't want to do it!! Glad you pulled out for some shut eye.

I can't wait for our next event.

Tim, I dont think we have ever met, I am a Hoosier cruiser, just kind of in limbo right now. Anyhow, if you are looking for an 80 I am selling one right now. I dont know what you are looking for, but it is a 97 with the factory lockers with about 127000 miles. It has a 2.5inch OME lift as well. Email me a thecementhead@hotmail.com if you want to see pics or find out more about it.

Rick.

Just out of curiosity on the 80 as a tow rig, what sort of speed were you able to maintain on the interstate? How about either the Monteagle or Jellico mountain climbs?

Rick, I'm tyring to get my Highlander on the market first and to make some final decisions. I am strongly leaning towards an 80 and will contact you when I get ready to buy. Thanks.

Generally, 3200rpm and 72 mph in 3rd gear with the 285's....downhills I could drop into OD, and some flats with no wind or a tailwind. The "long" climbs around Jellico were done in 2nd gear at 48-50mph at 3600ish rpms...but that wasn't floored. (kept a max rpm for those)

if I can keep it in OD, just under 10mpg....in 3rd, around 8mpg. Headwinds suck worse than hills, and you learn to draft semi's when you can :D I figgered fuel every 150-180 miles, depending on where the gauge was and I had a 5gal can on the trailer just in case. Total for the week: 1860 miles or so, including 2 days of wheelin ;)

I'm from the old LCML days so in ascii, I can reply .|.

I looked at the pictures on our site wish i could have been there. The pictures are great.

I hope you all had a good time, Tim it looks like it won't be to bad to fix. That does suck though. Wish I could have made it but work comes first. Clint what tires did you end up getting those don't look like 33 inch AT's. Looks like it was wet and cold.

Hey all,
Sorry I didn't have a chance to see all of you before you left. It rained like heck all day and most of the night. Roger was nice enough to let me stay in one of the nice cabins across the creek for the last night. FJTT had a blast again with you all.

Returned home for a day and then back on the road. Somewhere in Pa. now. Had a blast this week at Tellico with you all and can't wait to see you all again.

Looking for a 45 if anyone knows where one is????!!!! Good luck I know but it is worth a shot.

Tim
