Got a box from 4x4 Labs (a FN w/TAC '07 sponsor) with steering arms, big 'ol tie rod and drag link, new pitman arm and 1 ton TRE's . Between these, the ARP knuckle studs, and getting my Newfield's back from CV Unlimited I'm sure bust an inner axle in the rock garden:D

I called EC last night he got his too so I can't give 'em grief............

I gotta check with Deb to see what we have going on this weekend but I hope I can do it Saturday. Weather.com says mostly sunny and 74*

Heavy box was waiting when i got there. Can you say BEEFY? 2 more orders to go and i'll be ready. ARP studs and a new nose for the saginaw box.

From Posers shop cam
all I could find regarding pics quickly for Sprung under and luke's setup. How close is it? Have you tried to put ends on then screw on bar in the back? My taper is on bottom as is yours.

For all others tuning in.. Mike left me a message stating he couldn't get tie rod installeed due to diff interference.

I am not familiar with the FJ stuff but all the tierod and drag link stuff I have ever dealt with went on TOP of the arms, not under neath, Can it fit by putting the tie rod through the top of the arm? That would clear the diff I would think.

What I saw in your pics that you linked above........

Like I said, I am saying this totally blind to FJ builds.

I went and looked on 4x4 Labs sight and it shows this...........

Therein lies the problem. The drag link (to the pitman arm) side is tapered for top mount as in the 4x4 Labs pics but the tie rod (behind the axle is tapered for a below-the-arm mount, which hits the top of the diff. If it were tapered for top mount I'd be done by now.

Mike,

my apology for not getting to help out on Sat. Bill kept me busy throwing lead at paper targets 750gr. at a time. Was a little more fun than my .22-250. You know where to find me if you need a hand.

750grain? OUCH.

The arms are bent wrong on the TR side, they should have been 3" top to bottom. They area about 2.25". Luke said he would re-bend them and ship them back the day he receives them. He should have mine Friday.

Just a note here..... I'm not knocking Luke or his staff at all! Period! By reputation alone I am confident I'll have the parts here in time for DSR..... as long as I can get them installed in time.

No to hi-jack from Mike but it was .50 Cal. Very nice toy that really doesn't hurt at all. It's much kinder than a .30-06 by a large margin. Hi-jack off....
