That's ok. I'm not really worried about wild gearing options. It's a medium duty off-road truck, it doesn't even have lockers in it yet. I'm sure it'll be just fine as-is.

Does anyone have a photo of a split case attached to a 700r4? I can't seem to find any. I'm really thinking the front driveshaft will end up being a total cluster, but I would think they wouldn't offer the adapter if it was horrible.

If you're gonna crawl it, put an auto in it.

Seach Woody's build threads. He used a stub shaft in his 40. Works great.

Maybe I'm trying to bite my ear here, I wasn't really able to find any info on this 'stub shaft' setup, or searching Woody's build threads. Do you guys have a link for the 'special kid'?
