I had the 90K service done and also had the dealer change the timing belt. Ever since the replacement, engine is not as mooth as it was prior to the timing belt replacement. When I first start, it revs at about 1100rpm. After driving a little bit goes down to 500 rpm. I don't recall what it was before. And I am hearing this sound, which only way to describe is as if something is rubbing inside. I am planning to go back to the dealer but wondering if any one has any insight they would like to share.

If the battery was disconnected., the ECU resets and it takes some time until it gets used to the driving conditions again. This takes a couple hundred km at most. In the meantime it does act strangely, like revving up at start, or stalling. But the rubbing noise is not good. I'd take it back to the dealer, too.

I don't think the battery was disconnected. When I picked it up my station presets were still there. Unless they are stored on flash ROM. I doubt that.

does the 100 have timing marks on the pulleys? Maybe the dealer has it off by a few teeth or the cover is not on correctly... can you pull the cover and take a look, maybe post a picture if something looks off?
