how about a small video :)

You'll see and feel gains. Don't worry about that.

X2 you will definitely feel the gains.
Mine feels great with a SC, TMIC on 35's with stock gears.
Now, I feel the transmission is the weak link. 216,000 miles on it with frequent fluid and filter changes but I still feel it slip under load. Looks like it might be time for a Rodney's Nomad valve body.

West Coast Cruisers ;)
It's on my list but not right at the top.

Just an FYI I contacted West a Coast Cruisers and IPT10 about their upgraded valve bodies and what they do that would set them apart from anyone just doing the transgo shift kit, which consists of new springs, enlarged holes and new gaskets at 1/10th the cost and neither place replied back...

Very happy with my shift kit. Lol

Whole writeup is in my build thread. The transgo kit is great, I had a terribly slipping transmission, did the kit, changed to the heavier springs, drilled out the 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 shift holes and it made a HUGE difference! It completely made the truck feel like it can actually put the extra power to the ground.

awesome, that is good to know, so it sounds like the valve body that WCC sells is basically just this kit installed? I am going to look into this. Let me know if you have any particular part #'s, I am a bit of a newb with auto trannies, always have dealt with manuals.

Noah,

Yes you are right from what I could gather the valve bodies that WCC, and Level10 sell are nothing more than valve body cores that are gone through and the changes the transgo shift kit done to them.

It is a little bit of work and you need to take your time and read the directions but it isn't a very difficult job and the transmission is much less black magic than I expected. Really the things you change are very minor.

- Change the 3 accumulator springs
- Change 1 spring on the PR
- Drill 3 holes
- put new gaskets on and button it up.

The kit is:

The new gaskets from Toyota were $11-13 dollars each for the 2 of them.

If you have a lift and some wrenching experience I would say 3-3.5 hours for the first time. After I did it the first time I missed a step and had to do it again and the second time only took an hour.
