I am doing an engine swap on my brothers 60 this weekend and am in need of an engine leveler to pull the whole drivetrain without having to remove the tranny first. Does anyone have one I could borrow? If not I will be going to Northern Tool.

Thanks
Jeremy

what engine are you swapping into the 60? my father and I may be doing either a rebuild or a swap on the 84FJ60...I am going up to listen and check out motor he is saying is making noise...but I think it is just the oil draining all the way down from sitting so lifters are making a little noise until it pumps back up and gets lubed nicely.

The desmogged 78' 2F that is currently in my 40. He had a leaking oil pan and he kept adding oil to it. He forgot to the other day and went on an incline and the motor stopped. I am assuming it was out of oil, but to give him the benefit of the doubt his oil pump could have went out. Either way it is seized up and needs rebuilt. It's his DD so I am selling him my motor to make way for the V8.

When I pulled the engine, trans, transfer out of the donor 40, I just used another come-a-long back to the top of the tranny and used that for a leveler. I wasn't worrying about body damage though as it swung around when it came loose. But it will work.
