Emptied cache, reset Safari... still buggered

Ok, ok it's Safari, but I've done all I read in the sticky and I still get 249 posts marked new and "new" posts I respond or post ain't "new"

hate to say it, but no clue...you aren't getting caught from the "persistent mark read" stuff that changed?

Until you click the "mark all read" button, they will remain new for 10 days

Ok, I opened mud in IE to see if things were different. No dice.

I'm having problems even getting to that sticky to mark the messages!

I'm a jackass.

Are you at work when you have this problem? I remember things were fine at home, but at work things were screwy with the new tags and such. No idea why though
