Hi all,

I’m trying to replace my aged grill, and I’m having a tough time removing these emblem fasteners. Any tips? Thanks!

Cut the metal retainer with a pair of flush-cut pliers. You can try to disengage each tab with a tiny screwdriver or pic, but I promise you it's not worth your time. There's a 99.9% chance they get destroyed no matter how you try, so just cut them off. Also, the more you mess with them, the greater the chance you break the pin off the emblem.

Thanks for your advice! I went ahead and cut off the ends. I'll use some sort of adhesive to affix the emblem to the grill.

Just to clarify (edited my post as well) I was suggesting to cut the metal retainer off, not the plastic emblem pin. But either way, a quick dab of epoxy or a small strip of 3M tape and you'll be good to go.
