Here is what I've tried.

Well Let's Try It. Below is facebook's embed code. It's an option to the right of your videos.

Apparently Not.

^^^ You can just insert the URL (Make sure the video is public) and It will link to a video. Warning the above video is not 100 series. It will bring up a full screen player. If you click on Facebook it takes you to the video in the Facebook Page.

So I've been looking into this for a while, anyone have a solution. Can you embed from another source other than YouTube or Vimeo? I am honestly getting a little tired of unreasonable copyright restrictions on YT and am looking for other video outlets. I'm not sure if Vimeo is the same way with copyright music.

Obviously I'm not the only one interested in this, looking at the number of views.

The embed code you originally posted is html...and that's forbidden per my settings on the site...far too many opportunities for spam/viruses/etc.

I'm not aware of a vBulletin player/plugin for FB videos.

Hi, I have the same question. How to insert a YouTube player (or any other player) in my thread as you can see in this thread; https://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series-cruisers/496138-mud-100-series-videos-thread-9.html#post7352394

In this thread you see several postings with a YouTube player.
The question from "jonharis" is asked in that thread but never answered.

For example, I can insert all my pictures from Photobucket but not my movies with the player from Photobucket. I can only insert the link to photobucket in my thread, not the player itself.

What am I doing wrong? What is the trick? I like to put my movie here in posting 175 of this thread: https://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-tech/544543-clusters-gauges-odo-meters-9.html

I "used" to have a plugin installed that handled dozens of video/link types, but it was found to be scraping user info and was removed.

Thanks, but now the question is; what represents the 12345124?
I tried all the possible codes from URL to embedded code. I only get an empty frame.
This is with the video name (Cluster_test1.AVI) in between


OK I've got it!


What am I doing wrong? What am I missing?

You can do the same with Vimeo. Similar procedure as YouTube just replace the text.
