Sam likes to get up early. On Sat morning we took a walk of a few miles to get a feel for Elwood. It is amazing, There is no noise, no cars, no crap, no beggars, no nothing. There are some drawbacks to living there I am sure but we are 50/50 ULC moving out there. I just need to get one piece of paper signed.


All these PICS are around 7am and it was the amazing. The smells, the sun, the shadows....I want to be there right now!

BTW, the building is across the street from the 3X's and is the old Elwood General Store.

There is much to be said for small town living.....I sure miss it and as soon as my oldest graduates next year we're out-a-here. Debi & I are looking for a land in hill country, bout an hour or so north of San Antonio and west of Austin. She sure liked Fredricksburg when we were there during the Roundup. Marble Falls is still my first choice tho.

There is much to be said for small town living.....I sure miss it .

When I was a kid Salt Lake City was, (or felt) like a pretty small place.It used to take an hour to get to Grama's house, all on county roads. Now it takes an hour to get their on the freeway and it's city driveing all the way. Bumper to bumper.

I like to think I'm going to get out of here and back into the slow lane in my next life. My problem is my line of work (property management) requires lots of rental properties to manage.I gota find a new line of work, cause with my retirement plan when I stop working I also stop eating.
