Hey everyone,

My girlfriend bought an '03 GX470 about 2 weeks ago and after driving it I started seeing the little things wrong with it and want to fix them.

1st-automatic window for the drives window is not working. All the other auto windows work as they should. I originally thought the battery has been disconnected and they all needed to be reset, but no only the drivers.

2nd-the power seats won't set. I.e. you hit set and then 1 and it doesn't program the seats to that location.

I thought there may be a fuse that had these in common with each other, but after checking the fuses under the hood and under the drivers side dash I didn't find anything wrong.

3rd-is getting a row hitch and trailer lights on this pig. I know I can find the 2 relays that go under the hood on about any 2003-09 Toyota out there, but does the 4 runner have the same green relay at the rear of the truck as the GX? Also will the 4R have the same tow hitch? I can probably search and find that answer.

4th-Mode actuator on the AC. It was stuck and chattering so I pulled it, greased it, reinstalled it, and now there's nothing coming from it. So I assume it's shot. I ordered a new ebay unit and am going to try and install that tomorrow night any pointers (other than have very tiny hands) would be helpful. I'm worried I got the guide mechanism oriented wrong somehow when I reinstalled it and that's why I didn't even hear it chattering anymore.

5th-115v outlet doesn't work and all fuses are good.

Thanks for any help Paul

Also is there any way to get this lower servo out without pulling everything?

Too late I pulled everything. This lower arm here is not moving when the ac cycles from heat to cool and back. Should there be a spring on this to assist with movement? With the servo off it moves freely back and forth, with servo on its stuck in one position. This causes the drivers side to get cold air no matter what temperature setting, passengers side acts as normal.

Well even though I feel as though I'm talking to myself, I'll go on. I found the servo that sits under the (us) drivers side and controls that sides air flow. There are several threads on mud about swapping out the passengers side but somehow I missed the entire drivers side discussion. So for those searching in the future there are 4 servo motors total for the front air (well that I've found so far).

#1 controls mode (floor, defrost, vent, mix) it is on the passengers side. This is kind of easy to get to once the glovebox is removed and had a large oval on the back of it

#2 controls heat/cold mix for the passengers side(us). It is the one I am pointing to in the first picture and it's buried behind the fan motor. The fan motor housing needs to come out in order to replace it. Only has two guides though so it's not bad to get aligned again.

#3 still on the passengers side is the fresh/recirculate servo. It is going to require removing the fan motor housing and at least some of the dash. It is located on the far passengers side of the blower motor housing by the ecu.

#4 is on the drivers side and controls the drivers side heat/cold temperature mixture. Very easy to remove and replace.

Be very careful if you take these apart since after thousands of heat cycles in your car the plastic is brittle and the snaps on the side are aching to break.
