I typically use the marine type with heat shrink built in, however I am currently facing replacing some plugs behind the D/S kick panel on my 80 series (windshield leak)

I was planning on using unshielded butt connectors and putting heat shrink tube over them.

However while read a truck magazine I came across a product review for this New Page 1

It appears to be a paid type review- anyone have any real world experience with this?

I think it looks way cool

Waytek wire is also a good online source for the weather pak components. You can make up a couple without the special pliers but it is a little work to make sure you bend and crimp adequately.

The spli-seal look good but a real PITA to do as a repair.

That is a pretty unique system.

Can't imagine it being head and shoulders better than quality heat shrink butt connectors though.

When I worked for the Army I recieved a few free sample kits from AMP for their Superseal Connectors like the one's D'Animal posted. They are beautiful connectors.
