congrats! on the new family member:cheers:

:mad:sorry about the other stuff, nothing like a kid on the way to make your job and benefits and car problems and living situation and cost of living seem that much more important.

I hope your HG is not blown, but on the other hand doing the thing as PM may be a good thing; just think how many more miles that crusher will go after you do it, safely carrying your family over hill and dale for years to come, eventually the little one will be sitting in your lap learning how to steer for the right line off road!:grinpimp:

Wow I'm a jerk I didn't even catch that most important bit of information....CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

Wow Thank you guys.

Curtis and Aric thank you guys. I'm avail whenever if you guys can. Just PM me. I sent you my info. If you cant for whatever reason please don't feel obligated by any means. This is not my DD but means a lot to me.

I should be free Sat. late morning/early afternoon. No fancy test equipment though, so if you set something up with gnob, go that route. I'll call you either way; I'd like to take a look at the symptoms just out of curiosity.

Congrat's on the li'l nipper!

Curtis

Thanks! Im PM'd Gnob to shoot for Sat.

Congrats.. 'will keep y'all in our prayers that your baby does well.

Have a compression tester, no leak down can bring to work tomorrow @ airport. I'll PM you my phone #. Later.

So general verdict....

Gnob helped me this morning (actually pretty much did it all) running a compression test and rad. leak test.

Looks like all is within realm of being good! ~180 across all. Rad test showed a slow leak, and think we found where.

So relieved at this point.

Thanks Aric! You rock!

Im not sure. General i-net reading says 175-200. Im reading the fsm now.

Anyone else?

NOTICE:
This measurement must be done in as short a time as possible.

Compression pressure:
1,176 kPa (12.0 kgf/cm2, 171 psi) or more

Minimum pressure:
883 kPa (9.0 kgf/cm2, 128 psi)

Difference between each cylinder:
98 kPa (1.0 kgf/cm2, 14 psi) or less

This is on my '97, so the spec might be slightly different. Really shouldn't be tho....

Spec is 171 PSI, but the important thing is that they're all +-14 PSI.

Sounds like you're well within spec.
