I've mostly been leeching and not contributing lately, but I finally have something new, albeit trivial, to add to the forum: my new Ebay seat gap fillers/console organizers.

There are a million vendors selling what seem to be the same product on ebay. I paid, rather blindly, for one of the more expensive versions, not knowing whether I was getting anything better than the cheaper ones or not. And I'm super happy with the result.

The pieces fit very nicely and are basically pressure-fit, requiring no real installation--at least, on my 2020 Heritage. However, I did find a little double-side mounting tape to help with flushness on the passenger side. I also gave the plastic several heavy coats of plasti-dip to create a stickier and less cheap looking surface. The plasti-dip black metal sapphire color blends in very nicely with the interior.

My seat gap problem is gone now. No more crumbs down the rabbit hole. And I've got a place for my actual drinks now, since I use the other cup holders for my keys and wallet and miscellanous stuff most of the time. My GPS beacon also fits in here nicely, as do extra cables and such.

No long term quality testing yet, but so far I definitely recommend this product to people who need extra storage space for small items up front.

I tried those on the GX and I wasn't a fan. Let us know what you think of them after some use. The console organizer is a must buy under $100 for all owners.

What was the issue in your case? My only concern is the plastic could eventually break, as it's under constant pressure. But it seems like it walks a good balance between stiffness and flexibility... I'll see as time goes on.

Yea, it cracked and put a lot of tension on the side of the seat. If you don't have someone else with a different seat setting moving the seat back and forth regularly then it might work out.

Good to know. My seats definitely get moved around a LOT... so I'll see what happens. Maybe China is cranking out the same design in different plastics too. Who knows.
