Easy Beach Driving

Hi all,

I'm a newcomer to NC, and a complete newbie to AWD. I'd like to take my family to the beach sometime soon, and would like to be able to take the truck over something VERY novice that I couldn't do in any of the other Lexus sedans we've owned. Anyone have any suggestions? Also, a place to camp where my wife can bring 17 hairdryers and misc personal products would be nice to know (city girls!)...

Look at Concretejungle's recent post here on his Outer Banks trip.

Cool beach driving at OBX. Also minimal beach driving near Emerald Isle.

LOTS of camping around the state, high maintenance and all!!

There is also driving at carolina beach, NC about 2.5 hours from raleigh. Camping is kept too tent camping and driving is somewhat minimal and priced at $10 a day or $40 dollars a year. I would advise the outer banks, it's a wonderful place. Lots of coastline driving as well.
