early wiper motor assembly

in need of the driver side pivot for the windshield arm... the one on the new 40 is seized.. and its rainy season so rain-x can only do so much..

any one have any spare parts

I have the two wiper style one, toshi38 has my other old w/s frame with the right one on it...

checked with my buddy... I only have the one... and apparently need it for my new windsheild... if you wanna move up to a different sorta windshield surround I might be able to help you... I've got 1 rusted out windshield frame with the wipers on the bottom single motor on the outside and a half decent windshield surround that needs a bottom welded into it thats the same sort you could work something out with trading wiper components from one to the other.....

already have two windshield frames in the shed that have the motor at the bottom... one is rust free... but this frame thats on the truck is in good shape so not wanting to swap over at the moment...

if no one has one... i might check with toyota... see if they still list it or if its no longer available... if so then i might just buy the electric motors for it then...

If you've got a good rust free frame with motor on the bottom I might be able to work something out... i just want the easiest route to get a rustfree windshield/surround into the cruiser... so if thats putting yours in and giving you what you need to get yours fixed i'd be up for that if you were.

Hey you interested in parting with the rustfree frame with motor? my motor on my rusted up lower mount just died... and I need to go up to millbay tonight. I can get you that cable if your interested in that for the motor and i'll give you a spare upper mount frame for the rest of the frame or something like that if your interested. Stephen 884-9466

used rust free to loosely... the frame has surface rust where the tabs where to hold the windshield back to the dash... there is no rotting on it and it is completely stripped of parts including motor... only thing on it is the windshield brackets and glass... its been painted twice... i should watch what i say... to me here on the island i would consider it rust free... the other frame is solid... but has alot of paint bubbling up on it... and PO put holes in the front for snaps for a soft top... but it does have all the parts and wiper motor is still in it...

haha if you saw some of my vehicles you'd know rust free is a loose term. If you got a couple of pictures of the frame i'd still be interested in trading if you were.

i will try to get you some pics...

as for the wiper motor... no longer needed...

i rebuilt the pivot for the driverside...
just drilled the gear off and removed the brass shaft with the steel shaft in it..
heated it up to unfreeze it from all the rust inside of it...
pulled the steel shaft out and cleaned it up and regreased it and put it back into the brass shaft..
put the shaft back on the housing and welded the gear back onto the steel shaft...
moves freely just like a brand new one..

so i am good to go...

I might have a line on a minitruck one I can bastardize...

Whatever I use, bastardizing is going to happen, so cheap or free is what I'm after, in case it doesn't work and I have to resort to plan B...

What the hell is plan B? A handle going through to the outside for manual wiping? Or a string going around the windshield?
