I have new OEM window felt and was wondering if needs to be glued in. I also have new door gaskets.

Thanks,

Vince

On this subject, our windows (78 '40) drag pretty heavily. What's the best way to take care of that? I've already sprayed graphite on the moving parts. Any kits or anything?

Vince:

The felt on my 1970 40 was glued in with something that looked like rubber cement.

Steve:

If your doors were like mine then the resistence may be the regulator mechanism. One of mine went south and made the roll-up very hard.

Thanks Greg.

Steve I am having the same problem, however I am unable to roll up the driverside window.
This makes for a cold ride.

Ours was almost to that point - and squeaked really loudly. I had to pull up on it with my right hand while cranking with my left. I took the panel off and sprayed graphite on all the moving parts I could get to and that helped a lot, but it's getting worse again...
