Eagle Rock - July 7th.

Meet at 7:30, leave by 8

South Meeting Place
Loaf ‘N’ Jug Total at Starr Ranch Road and Hwy 115 (S. Nevada Ave.)

I might join you good folks on this one. I have never done Eagle Rock and have had interest for quite some time. Is it wagon friendly?

I'd love to go but I have to work on Saturday.:frown: There are bye-passes to most of the obstacles. Should be an easy trail for most.;)

I'm not looking for bi-passes just attempting to stick by my rule on the 80 of no body damage that don't buff out!

is there a trail leader?? im willing to do it aslong as my truck is one piece after Indy!

Kevin, only one spot thats a little tight for an 80, with some spotting and lockers, you should have no issues.. Its a spot that puts you a bit off camber and there is a tree on your downhill side.. here is one of a jeep in that spot, cant tell but the trail wants to toss your truck into that tree on his passenger side

8:30 would be fine i think, And it should be at the Safeway on Cheyenne and S Nevada (hwy 115), (this is where its always been for previous runs)

this needs to be changed on the website!

Thanks Trev. I am going to try and make it.

Hopefully I've got the wagon back together. I tore it apart for the umpteenth time trying to fix exhaust leaks and other problems. If I do it right it may not even stall on the smallest of rocks

The spot with the tree is a little spooky in an 80 the first time around. Its not too bad if you have a spotter outside the vehicle.

I'm planning to be there, probably with a couple of young'ns. :)

Cool hants, it will be nice to hit the trail with you.. Sounds like we will have a good turn out!

I love eagle rock.. fun trail. I usually hit it twice a year or so, but i haven't been up it in a while!

Evening to all.
Ron the newbie here. Sorry I didnt make it to the meeting Trevor. Military duty called. I would love to head out there with you all. I will plan on being at the meeting place and time on 7/7. Just put the locker back in the rear so want to see the diff it makes. Thanks much all. If anything changes please let me know. 287-3027
Ron

I noticed that the web site showed the South meeting location of
Loaf ‘N’ Jug Total at Starr Ranch Road and Hwy 115 (S. Nevada Ave.).
Since in the past we have always met at our InTown location of Safeway at S. Nevada and Cheyenne Road for this set of trails there might be some confusion. It might be worth taking a detour past the safeway on your way to the trail incase anyone goes there out of habit.

Trev or ????
How are the tree over hangs? I'm thinking of leaving my Roof Top Tent on and heading down tonight for a little hammock and rest time in the woods. or  ?

i cant remember.. i dont think there are alot of them, but 80's are pretty tall to begin with..

i would expect to atleast kiss it on a branch or 3 during the day.. call me if you want some info on camping spots..

Trevor
