Anyone out there in the U.S. have a decent strong 2H engine for sale for a decent price of course? I am suspecting my 2F engine is wearing out. I went to emissions today and failed due to CO2's being way too high took it to my favorite mechanic and he said it is time. So let me know if anyone has one for me.

This is a do-able swap. But not easy.....rather than looking for just an engine, I would suggest a donor vehicle....motor mounts need to be moved, wiring harness if 24v 2H...;pts of differances.....even the inner wheel wells are different

So vitually it is impossible no bolt in conversion then this totally sucks. I am dying to go diesel here.

It's a bolt in the fact that it mates to the tranny.

But needs to be wired and done up.

Call GandScruiser parts here too.... they have link in the vendors section

Go with the GM 6.2 Diesel Swap. There is a write-up in the Tech or the FAQ section. I think it is going to be as bolt-up as any Diesel and parts are plentiful.

I have a complete donor truck, a 1983 BJ60 it basically still all there 3B engine, transmission / T case, cooling system, wiring, power steering and all hoses clips you know all the little stuff that drive's you nuts trying to find.

and it would be a nice trip to come and pick it up in Central BC Canada

bring your trailer ...

Best Regards

In2cruiser recently finished the 2H swap and as he stated, having a complete donor sure would help. His 60 sure is sweet. If you are a bit handy? I have been talking to privateparts4x4 in Oz. If you want a 2H. I sent him a list of all the things I could think of that would be needed, he estimated right around 4K US shipped. 20 day boat ride. Has 100% feed back on ebay and others on the site posted good experience with him. His stuff would be 12V. Food for thought.
