Sorry if this is 200 Series 101, but I am trying to confirm: Do all 200's with the VDJ Diesel engine come with dual batteries? The only four I have checked each had dual batteries new.

If so, does it require that second battery to be able to start or could you isolate one of them (and switch it for a house battery) for primary house use and just use it for starting duty if the the start battery died? Or have people with the VDJ been installing a third battery for house use?

So far, All 200 i've seen with VDJ engine has dual battery. I owned a 2008 model V8 diesel and has 2 battery. There is a 2013 G9 spec V8 diesel non turbo non intercooler with dual battery as well.

Hope this help....

Saillaw, My VDJ200's both have dual batteries in them, but my work one has been modified with a Redarc dual battery solenoid so that I start from one and use the other for running an inverter in the rear. There is a momentry switch in the dash to link them together for starting duties if I ever run the main one down too far.
