Looking for suggestions on a one day outing at the Drummond Island.

I am planning to check out the Drummond Island (Turtle Bay ORV park) on Saturday July 1st, 2023. Our little group have a stock-ish 100, stock GX470 and another slightly built 100, so we are hoping to find trails that would accommodate full sized whales!

Which areas we should avoid? What we shouldn't miss? Also, if anybody else is free and want to come ride with us, you are welcome!

My truck for reference!

@Buttons I saw another post that you might be in the area on that weekend too?

Shoot me your email and I’ll drop my gpx of the island. If you have Gaia or onX it’ll show you the different obstacles etc. in general I’d avoid the tank traps (deep mud that buried Jeeps on 40s) Marblehead is a must do and has 2 hard lines, a medium line and a bypass. Connors hole is 1/4 mile long of 30-33” deep water with a rock base, very cool and a bypass around connors. Mus nemesis should be done from the south heading north (going down) you probably wont get up it without risking damage in those rigs. There is a bypass about 100’ to the side of mu. Fossil ledges is also a must do. All can be done in one day.

I’m bringing a couple groups up this weekend, I’ll get some pictures.

I may be. we are till figuring that out. May not come up until monday now. Wouldn't have the cruiser either. :( Lots of fun trails though. Definitely download maps though since cell service is real spotty on the island

Loading picture here seems to be taking forever. Check out @vspro09 on Instagram or join “mitten state tours” on Facebook groups. Posted a lot from the weekend

Saw the pics and vids, you have a knack for taking good ones!
Was Connors hole passable with a stock gx470 on 32" ko2s? How abt Marblehead?
I am triple locked with protection and 35" tires but one of my friends is on stock GX with KO2s.

Connors should be passable with a stock GX, but there is also a bypass around it. Marblehead has 3-4 lines including a bypass so shouldn’t be any issues

How was it??

Had a blast! Thanks for the GPX file it made the navigation easy. My friend's stock GX470 did just fine. I did go into the tank trap and made it through with minor rear bumper rubbing!

Awesome! The traps are at a very navigable level now, we actually got a few surprises with what made some of the big holes!

What did you think of connors hole/log jam?

We did go through the Connors hole, it was pretty deep but definitely navogable.

I did get stuck while entering a tank trap (rear diff got caught on the hump) and had to be pulled a couple of feet.
