Drove off without the smart key, now the LC wouldn't start, help..

I strongly believe that holding the key up to the start button would have allowed the vehicle to start. Actually, follow the full procedure on page 481 of the manual. If you do not have a PDF version of it, send me a PM with your email and I will send it to you.

well, if the flag went up and an airburst took out my fragile electronics, the LC would be screwed. but so would any vehicle dependent on microprocessors (i.e. anything with electronic fuel injection). at that point, it is time to hitch your wagon or make your stand.

for all other scenarios, from civil war to zombies, i sleep easy with the LC 200.;)

I felt the same way when I found that they had put in a starter instead of the old crank. It is way better to never change anything, in fact bring back drum brakes and armstrong steering too.
