Driver Side Glove Box Removal

i was hoping somebody has figured out how to remove drivers side glove box. i tried just obvious screws and that was not enough to free the unit. any help on this would be great. thanks

Just open the box, push upper corners toward each other,hinge it down, then unkook the dampener/shock on the right side. No tools required. BTW, there is not enough room in there for a bluetooth kit.

I'm not sure which they mean. I thought the original post was about the small covered storage box on top of the dashboard in front of the driver.

my bad, I thought you were refering to the glove box, not the top box.

I don't have my Cruiser yet, so I am not sure of the advantage of this... I am however contemplating putting my CB up there. I don't know yet, as I am not sure how huge it might be.... Might put something else down in there???

What are you going to do once you get the thing apart??

Did anyone get this "storage box" box out yet? Yes, the glove box in front of the driver.

I'm still browsing here for a hint, but when the sun comes up will go take a peek at it.

Nevermind, found a post over on fjcruiser forums. Apparently you pull it up from the hinged side...
