So recently my drivers side inside door latch stopped working so I took a look and the cable has snapped. Is there a replacement cable I can buy or do I need to find the same gauge cable at a hardware store and make it myself? All I can find online is the entire door lock actuator unit which costs about $200. Any help would be appreciated.

yeah, me too.
Mine broke at cable end - at the "L" at the door handle.
I took a big cable staple, and bent it so it holds on to the cable, and bent the the other end to hold on to the door latch (hole). Not sure how long this will work, but $200 in my pocket for now . . .
