Dog poop smell

The neighbor behind me has two adult dogs and 7 puppies from the two adults. The poop has been building up at a rapid pace since the pups have been born. I think their teen aged son has been throwing the poop against the fence on their side under some trees so his mom thinks he has been properly disposing of it (hiding it). Well the smell has gotten horrible so me and my neighbor walked around the block yesterday and confronted the Mom. I rang the doorbell and she answered, I introduced ourselves and told her we had a neighborly request. I explained that the poop smell was so bad that we could no longer leave the windows on the house open or enjoy time on the back patio. She seemed surprised about it but said that she would get it cleaned up. I was expecting a big conflict because I hear her yelling at her son and husband all the time. Kinda whacko. I hope she follows up on it and we will have no big blow-out. We'll see

Same problem next door when the neighbor's son's dogs (brother and sister I might add) had their 2nd litter of pups. Those two dogs had a total of 16 pups in two litters and only 3 or 4 survived. Anyway, our back yard smelled like crap, literally, until the pups were taken away. Unfortunately, the last litter of 9 were all put down as they all were sick.

House is vacant now so that smell is gone. Now if we could just get him to clean it up and sell it so the house/yard would be taken care of better.

If they get too much dog crap the rats might move in. Call the county health department. Animal Control won't get off their lazy asses to do anything.

my city just passed an ordinance against it. if it's considered a public nuisance.

first time it's $50, then $100 for the 2nd offense and it keeps going up after that...
