Built this a year ago and have had many comfy nights of sleep in it. I have thoroughly enjoyed it, but time to move on to something else so I’m hoping to find a new owner for this one. Mostly hoping to get back what I put into it, and I'm sure material costs have only gone up since then.

Built using a mix of 15 series 8020 with some 10 series for supports on the inside of the wedge roof and the roof rack support/mounting portion with some custom cut brackets. The top panel is 3mm, and the bottom panel is a 6mm panel for rigidity that has both been fully sealed with no leakage when driving through a few storms. Giving the option of including the exped mattress that I’ve been using, and 2 solar panels that are 3m taped down to the top. The solar panels can be removed but may leave behind some slight scuffing on the rooftop, it’s also a pain to get off so I hope to include this.

3500 with solar and mattress
3200 with just a mattress or solar
2900 without solar and mattress

Includes:

  • (Optional) Exped Mattress, 4” thick and very comfy
  • (Optional) 2 105w solar panels attached to the wedge (210w total)
  • Tent fabric is a durable x-pac material, fully waterproof, wind proof, and lightweight
  • Thule anti-condensation mat
  • Includes locks to keep everything inside safe
  • A zip-on awning that covers the back door zone and still allows access into the tent
  • Poles to pop out the back panel on the back for quick shade coverage (awning zips into this)
  • 3 crossbars on top for carrying things
  • Custom attachment for holding Maxtrax boards inside 2 of the crossbars
  • Amber LED’s that wire into a goal zero, but can be adapted to other 12v power options
  • Detachable shower/bathroom setup
  • Requires a way to attach a base made of 8020 for mounting, can provide standoffs for a GX470
  • Everything uses torx security bolts, have had added peace of mind with street parking in SF
