Built this a year ago and have had many comfy nights of sleep in it. I have thoroughly enjoyed it, but time to move on to something else so I’m hoping to find a new owner for this one. Mostly hoping to get back what I put into it, and I'm sure material costs have only gone up since then.
Built using a mix of 15 series 8020 with some 10 series for supports on the inside of the wedge roof and the roof rack support/mounting portion with some custom cut brackets. The top panel is 3mm, and the bottom panel is a 6mm panel for rigidity that has both been fully sealed with no leakage when driving through a few storms. Giving the option of including the exped mattress that I’ve been using, and 2 solar panels that are 3m taped down to the top. The solar panels can be removed but may leave behind some slight scuffing on the rooftop, it’s also a pain to get off so I hope to include this.
3500 with solar and mattress
3200 with just a mattress or solar
2900 without solar and mattress
