Goood times, until my front pass birf went boom! :)

Whipped it out, stuffed a rag in the axle shaft, drove home. Damn I love yoters.

Next up 30 spline longs.

You still got warrantee left from you Dad dont you. I am sure it was mostly busted from his driving.

Im blaming him for all the extra torque from the 3.4. The three slow couldn't blow up a birf if it wanted to!

Alright gents, I think I have come up with a plan, swap my axle with an unlocked 95-97 80 series front axle. This way my arb third will drop right in, plus I pick up five inchs of width. Then add these, HellFire Fabworks.

My only question that I have not found is, what do i have to do to run locking selectable hubs from my mini truck axle on this 80 housing???? Machine a groove in the long side outer axle shaft? help

Also if anyone has an 80 axle laying around they would like to donate to this project, feel free! :)

IIRC there is a thread somwhere about what selectable lockouts on the 80's axle... I think the early ones were about a bolt on, laters required work.

FYI, on my 91 FJ80, warn premium hubs for a FJ60 bolted right up and worked great.

I believe the Aisin hubs will bolt right on an 80 axle as long as they are for a 30 spline. You just can't bolt them on an 80 series Cruiser with out doing all of the transfer case conversion. But if you are putting the axle in your part time 4 wheel drive 4 Runner it will work.
