Hi there,

I live in Houston and Steamboat Springs. Between the flood water and snow, it is time to get a HIGH vehicle. I do own a 06 Dodge 3500 Dually, 98 Tacoma SR5, Leaf (to balance out the carbon foot print), and other classic convertibles.

I had thought of lifting my dodge or Tacoma. But since the former is Dually (Dodge - POS, except for the engine) and the latter is my beloved truck (bought it new so my first lab and I could go to the lake without destroying my at that time sports car), and since I always wanted a FJ, thinking of buying a primo FJ that could suffice the high-water of Houston and ice of Steamboat. I don't want a beater. I want something that could serve both cities and NICE. Common sense tells me to go get a latest Jeep that has been lifted. That would provide comfort (AC in Houston is NICE) and reliability.

Do I make sense? If yes, what model of FJ should I start looking? Hurricane season is ending so I have time to do research and purchase.

Thanks for your input.
