Just wondering my FJ came with the extended plastic step that runs from the front wheel well to the rear wheel well. It looks like it will protect the side of the FJ from normal sized cars opening their door and hitting the side of the FJ? If it doesn't from your experience are there some other step rails that will provide ding protection?

It is made for the FJ, that said, I still park a country mile away from where I am going, much to the consternation of my wife...gm.
