2011 LX with 46K miles. Now and then I pull an enclosed 2500 pound trailer and a 6000 pound boat trailer.

Drained my rear diff for the first time this morning and found much more sludge/metal debris on the magnetic drain plug than I had expected. What is your experience?

Pic is supposed to show that it actually came off of the plug in chunks. The diameter of the mass was about equivalent to the chrome section.

Replacing with Extreme Gear...

Totally normal for what you are doing, especially if the fluid wasn’t changed after the initial break in.

Been seeing magnets like that for two decades. Now if you have like a small metal chip, and not just sludge, then there is a problem.
